Annual Ball 2012
“Oh what a night”
There was good food, fine wine, excellent music…. and of course the ‘limbo’ competition!!
Our annual dinner was once again a runaway success with attendance in excess of 220 people. Thanks has to go to Sarah Clubley for her hard work in ensuring that the event was well attended and enjoyed by all.
Tables were taken by local firms and Barristers – Gosschalks, Ingrams, Rollits, Pepperells, Myer Wolff, 37 Park Square Chambers, Graham & Rosen, Williamsons, Hudson Law, James Legal, Wilberforce Chambers, Neil Hudgell and Smailes Goldie.
Sponsorship was this year provided by Property Search Group – the leading source for conveyancing searches in the UK, Smailes Goldie – a renowned firm of Chartered Accountants and Wesleyan for Lawyers – providers of financial products and services for professional people. This enabled the ticket price to be maintained at the low price of £35 per ticket, excellent value bearing in mind this included two bottles of champagne per table of 10.
Guests were entertained by singer Matthew Addison and live band All Night Long.
The Wesleyan for Lawyers Prize draw was won by lucky guests of Pepperells and Neil Hudgell – the wine hamper and the Kindle were excitedly received by the winners.
